Christian International Professors Forum presents a Lecture on Medical Ethics and Professionalism

Dr. Hélio Angotti Neto, this month’s featured speaker at the Christian International Professors Forum hosted by the Instituto dos Juristas Cristãos do Brasil and the Wagner Faith & Freedom Center, offered a profound reflection on first principles that unite faith, reason, and moral order.  Drawing from his background in medicine, philosophy, and theology, Dr. Neto emphasized that human life possesses inherent dignity derived from being created in the image of God—a truth that must ground all ethical reasoning in science and public policy.  He argued that knowledge and technological progress, while valuable, ought not ignore transcendent moral law and the divine purpose for humanity.  From this foundation, he articulated the importance of integrating of faith and intellect in academic and professional spheres, affirming that truth is unified and that authentic human flourishing is more likely upon acknowledging God as the ultimate source of wisdom, life, and moral authority.
